Our Public Meeting at Gordale on 9th July was extremely well attended and an estimated 130 people filled the Cafe despite the hot weather! Simon Birney from B4RN Cheshire introduced the volunteers behind the steering group and updated the audience on progress so far. Dave Ryall, Community Liaison and Planning Co-ordinator from B4RN in Melling, talked about the technical side and the importance of obtaining wayleaves and having sufficient volunteers to make the project a success . The project has reached its financial target and we are good to go!
Thanks to people for making the meeting a success, particularly the good people of Burton who ensured blanket coverage with the flyer advertising it. Thanks also to Steve Mason who took on social media for us.
A very big thanks to Peter, Jill and Mark at Gordale who hosted the meeting as part of their continuing support for B4RN Cheshire.
But mostly THANK YOU for queuing up on the night to offer your services as a volunteer, and a big thanks to those landowners who pledged their support. Together we can all make this happen.
